 I dwell on the piles of snow, the blowing snow and the ice on the windows during the winter and I began to think that folks might think we don't have warm breezes and green grass in our part of Canada.

These photos were taken at our home in rural NB. Mother Nature is doing her best to put on a good show (with our help in some cases).

And summer after spring

Front lawn green and fresh

Burning bushes greening up for the summer.
Gaining strength to turn red in the fall.

Rhododendron survived being buried in the deep snow

So beautiful as it ushers in the summer

A little piece of quiet under the apple tree

Green all the way to the water

Screen door painted black and ready to let in the summer
breezes.

Yellow lilies primed to flourish

Wild rose that shields our deck and perfumes the air

Window boxes with yellow and white to complement
our chair cushions

A bit of whimsy for fun

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.
